Alexander Sanchez

Alexander Sanchez, Esq., holds the title of Assistant District Attorney in the Erie County District Attorney’s Office. Prior to this, he worked with the Erie County Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers Project, which has provided free civil legal services to low income individuals and small not-for-profit groups in Western New York since 1983. He also has experience with a boutique law firm in Buffalo conducting mostly personal injury work.

Sanchez earned his law degree from the University at Buffalo School of Law. He completed his undergraduate studies at Canisius University.

In law school, Sanchez worked with the Latin American Law Students Association and the Black Law Students Association and served on the executive board of the National Latina/o Law Student Association. In his role with the group — the premier organization for law students of Latina/o descent — Sanchez served as North Atlantic director, with responsibilities encompassing schools and students throughout the Northeast. 

Also during law school, Sanchez served as a mentor in UB’s Discover Law program, which opens doors for talented underrepresented undergraduates interested in law as a career.
